Our client, Joanna was very keen to get us round to do some work in her garden after hearing such good things about what we had previously done for her daughter at her property in Cambridge.
The ugly overgrown hedge had got all too much and Joanna liked the idea of letting us design and build a space to maximise the space in her courtyard garden, in Cambridge.
We got strait to it and tackled the very prickly hedge. Having got all the brambles and branches in the trailer we then went to recycle it at Envar Composting Ltd. All stumps were removed by digging them out and removing all the roots.
We then thought about using the back corrugated concrete wall to its full potential by using it as a back screen. We installed lengths of timber to the concrete walls then fit black membrane from timber to timber.
We then carefully installed the slatted fencing.
Once the back screen was installed we dug out the area to the required depths and removed all waste. We fit the heavy duty weed membrane to the ground before installing the aggregates & bark chippings.
We utilised this space and made it feel like a place in the garden you wanted to be.
