Garage Conversion in Great Paxton

Josh & Victoria first got in touch with us as one of their friends had previously had us round to do work in their home and couldn't recommend us enough.

Josh and Vic were looking to create additional room in their property in Great Paxton, St Neots.

Having to work from home in his children's bedroom, Josh was keen to utilise the unused space they had downstairs in the garage.

After our Free home visit meeting we were quick to send a detailed quotation across. Within a matter of weeks work was well underway. We thoroughly enjoyed transforming this Garage Conversion.

Firstly we installed concrete lintels above where the door & window will be installed. Then we installed the Damp Proof Membrane to the floor along with the floor joists, Celotex & floor boards.

Then we installed CLS timber to the walls to create framing. Fitted Celotex then plasterboard, loft wool insulation & plasterboard to ceiling.

We had received our delivery from St Neots Windows, we get all of our doors & windows made by the same company. Every window and door can be made to your preferred sizes, completely bespoke.

We then plastered all walls & ceiling to a smooth finish and got our electrician back to carry out his 2nd fix.

Lastly we decorated then installed the underlay and laminate flooring, skirting board & glossed the skirting board and window board.

Then we had the final visit from the building inspector we were all finished. Second fix electrical work then took place, a part P pass certificate was then handed to us to then pass onto building control who was then able to issue a pass certification to our clients ensuring all of our work had been completed to their specifications.

It was a pleasure to work for such a lovely young couple and the fact it was the next village along from where we are based was a one off bonus.
